Chris Nguyen (pronounced: win) is an active originator with iLoan, which is a division of LendSmart Mortgage a Minnesota-based Mortgage company. Chris is a mortgage geek, who is known for his knowledge of mortgage guidelines, ability to handle complex income, and customer situations.

Chris's known for his detailed approach to lending and employs a step-by-step plan to help lead borrowers through the lending process.  Chris has developed a system to spot lending red flags early in the process, his system uses key milestones to communicate status updates to all relevant parties.

A business-development and origination expert, Nguyen has owned his own brokerage and has served the mortgage industry for over eleven years. He has served on the board of directors of the Minnesota Mortgage Associations (MMA) for 4 years where he served as the 2010-2011 President.

A testament to his commitment to continuing education and ethical business practices, Nguyen has earned the MMA's Minnesota Mortgage Specialist designation and was named to the Minneapolis/St Paul Magazine 2011, 2012, & 2013 Super Mortgage Professional Lists (November issues)  and, Chris has been interviewed as a Mortgage Expert in The St Paul Pioneer Press, Minneapolis Star & Tribune, Business & Commerce Magazine, The Don Shelby Radio Show on WACO radio, The Minnesota Real Estate Radio Hour on KTalk AM 1130, Kare 11 News, and The Fox 9 News.  In addition, Chris often trains both Realtors and Mortgage Professionals on mortgage & real estate topics.

Prior to his work in the mortgage industry, Nguyen was a top-ranked sales consultant for Countryside Volkswagen, earning the prestigious international Top 50 Salesperson Award from Volkswagen of America in 1999.

Nguyen attended the University of Minnesota.
